Gothri heavy fighter
First seen in 2667, the Gothri heavy fighter was designed as a faster and more powerful alternative to the Jalkehi heavy fighter.
Although little is known about the 2667 version of the Gothri, substantially more is known about the variant active in the Gemini sector in 2669. The 2669 Gothri presumably featured a jump drive, and therefore had to compromise in some way (probably in shield strength) due to reduced equipment space available; but it still featured superior speed and weaponry. It could mount two rear turrets (as opposed to the Jalkehi's single Neutron Gun rear turret), which turrets would make short work of smaller enemy craft tailing them. Therefore, and as against any ship with rear turrets, the preferable attack vector against a Gothri was from either side of the craft, where defenses were weaker.

The Kilrathi Gothri can pose a very real threat to any ship in the Gemini Sector. With its
impressive acceleration, it can reach high velocities. When you are facing a Gothri in combat,
you should concentrate on its weak armor. A few well-placed concentrated bursts of
gunfire can severely damage this fighter. However, it is not that easy to close on it. The
Gothri is very maneuverable and can easily down you first with its array of blasters.
