Raptor - heavy fighter
In use primarily during the early 2650s, the Raptor heavy fighter was an all around improvement over the Scimitar medium fighter. 8 cm equivalent armor versus 6; larger missile payload; two neutron guns in addition to the Scimitar's two mass drivers; and to top it off, about 60% higher speed, –if only slightly lower maneuverability.
It would appear that its manufacturer, Origin Aerospace, must have been well aware of the value of their craft, and charged for it accordingly; as we see Raptors being deployed judiciously and only assigned to the best pilots.

NOTE: The blueprints are not recommended as a tracing background for modelling. We've (PU) found many self-inconsistencies between the views, and disagreements with the game images. Best use for the blueprints is for the extra details or for general greebling inspiration, in our opinion.
